1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all accommodation contracts and other agreements between Amah GmbH (hereinafter "Hotel") and the guest or client (hereinafter "Guest").

Deviating terms and conditions of the Guest shall not apply unless the Hotel has expressly agreed to them in writing.

Amah GmbH – M&A Cityhotel Hildesheim
Hindenburgplatz 6, 31134 Hildesheim, Germany
Phone: +49 5121 39081
Email: info@ma-cityhotel.de

2. Contract and Booking Process

Booking enquiries can be submitted via the online form on our website, by email or by telephone. A booking enquiry does not constitute a binding offer.

An accommodation contract is only concluded when the Hotel confirms the booking in writing or by email. Mutual rights and obligations arise upon receipt of the booking confirmation.

The Guest is obliged to provide complete and accurate information when making an enquiry. Incorrect details (e.g. regarding number of guests or length of stay) may result in the booking being cancelled.

3. Check-in and Check-out

Booked rooms are available to Guests from 2:00 pm on the day of arrival. Earlier handover is possible subject to availability and prior arrangement, but cannot be guaranteed.

The room must be vacated by 12:00 noon on the day of departure at the latest. In the event of a later check-out, the Hotel reserves the right to charge for an additional night.

Luggage storage: If you arrive before check-in or want to spend more time after check-out, you are welcome to leave your luggage at reception free of charge at any time.

Our reception is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – so you can arrive and depart at any time.

4. Breakfast

Our breakfast buffet is served daily at the following times:

Breakfast costs €14.90 per person and is not automatically included in the room rate unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Exception for trade fair bookings: For bookings made via our trade fair enquiry form, breakfast is automatically included for the entire trade fair period at no extra charge.

5. Prices, Payment and Accommodation Tax

Room rates

The prices shown on our website are indicative and may vary depending on availability, season and booking period. The binding price is stated in the booking confirmation.

Payment methods

We accept the following payment methods, payable directly on-site at check-in or check-out:

A prepayment or credit card guarantee may be required depending on the type of booking and season.

Accommodation tax (City Tax)

The city of Hildesheim levies an accommodation tax of 4% on the room rate. This tax is charged in addition to the room price and must be paid directly at the hotel.

Exemptions: Minors and stays that are demonstrably for professional/business purposes are exempt from the accommodation tax. Appropriate documentation (e.g. business travel certificate) must be presented on arrival.

B2B invoicing

For companies, we issue invoices with itemised VAT. Please provide your billing address and VAT identification number (if applicable) when making your booking.

6. Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation conditions apply to standard bookings (individuals and small groups up to 4 rooms, outside of trade fair periods):

Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to info@ma-cityhotel.de or via the cancellation link in the footer of our website. The time of receipt by the Hotel is decisive.

If your plans change, please contact us as early as possible – we are always happy to find a solution together for our guests.

7. Cancellation Policy for Trade Fair Bookings

Different cancellation deadlines apply to bookings made in connection with trade fairs and major events in the region (e.g. AGRITECHNICA, HANNOVER MESSE, IAA Transportation, EuroTier, EuroBLECH, LIGNA), as these periods are heavily in demand and capacity is limited.

We strongly recommend booking trade fair stays as early as possible and keeping track of the cancellation deadline.

8. House Rules

No-smoking policy

There is a strict no-smoking policy throughout the hotel – in all rooms as well as in all public areas (corridors, breakfast room, reception area). Smoking is only permitted outside the hotel.

In the event of non-compliance, the Hotel reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee for the affected room.

Pets

Pets are very welcome at our hotel. Please let us know when making your booking that you will be bringing a pet so that we can make all necessary arrangements. For certain types or sizes of animals, we may need to make a follow-up enquiry.

Quiet hours and conduct

We ask our guests to be considerate of fellow guests. During quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am, guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum. Music and loud conversations must be kept to room volume.

The Hotel reserves the right to ask guests who repeatedly violate the house rules to leave without a refund of the room price.

Accessibility

Guests with reduced mobility – including wheelchair users – are warmly welcome. Please inform us of your specific requirements when making your booking so that we can provide the appropriate room and all necessary arrangements.

Baby cot

A baby cot is available free of charge on request. Please mention this in your booking enquiry or let us know upon arrival at the latest.

Parking

A municipal car park is located directly behind our hotel on Braunschweiger Straße. The cost is €7 per 24 hours. Reservations are not possible – the car park is used at guests' own risk.

Bicycles

We have a lockable bicycle storage room available free of charge. Please ask at reception upon your arrival.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and throughout the hotel. Access details are provided at check-in.

9. Liability

The Hotel is liable for damage suffered by the Guest in accordance with statutory provisions. The Hotel's liability for negligence is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage.

Valuables: The Hotel is not liable for the loss, damage or theft of items kept in rooms or other areas of the hotel, unless the Hotel is at fault. We recommend not leaving valuables unattended.

Vehicles: Vehicles are parked in the car park at guests' own risk. The Hotel accepts no liability for damage to or theft of parked vehicles.

The Guest is liable to the Hotel for all damage caused culpably by themselves, their travelling companions or visitors.

10. Groups and Business Travellers

Different conditions may apply to group bookings of 5 or more rooms and to bookings in connection with trade fairs and events. These are agreed individually and set out in a separate quote.

The Hotel can accommodate 50+ rooms for groups. Bookings of multiple rooms on a single company invoice are possible.

For changes to the number of rooms after booking confirmation (increase or reduction), please notify us as early as possible. Short-notice reductions may be subject to partial cancellation fees.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with the accommodation contract is Hildesheim, Germany, provided the Guest is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, or has no general place of jurisdiction within Germany.

For consumers within the meaning of §13 of the German Civil Code (BGB), the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.

Information on online dispute resolution: The European Commission provides a platform for out-of-court online dispute resolution at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email address is info@ma-cityhotel.de. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
